The 5300 Series are 3-way adjustable shock absorbers for competition use. The 5300 shock absorbers are adjustable in high and low speed compression as well as rebound.

The AST inverted damper system is a race-inspired design that gives the damper far more strength and resistance to the high g-forces generated by fast driving. This design retains the suspension geometry of the car during the cornering, braking and acceleration phases, ensuring consistent cornering performance.

The ride-height adjustment platform allows you to adjust the ride height of your car whilst retaining the maximum stroke of the damper.

AST's Monotube technology improves the damper's performance and efficiency by separating the damper oil and nitrogen gas inside the damper with a floating piston. This floating piston design, combined with the use of high-pressure nitrogen, helps to eliminate cavitation around the piston.

The larger piston and lack of cavitation increases the damper performance and the sensitivity of the dampers felt by the driver. All of this combines to produce more grip, increased control and driver feedback.

Geometry
Suspension geometry is the positioning and angular movement of the suspension arms and the effect that they have upon the movement of the wheel and tyre. It is caused by the different components of the suspension system all moving in their designed paths, which together generate changes in direction and multiple forces on the wheel and tyre, making the steering and suspension operate in particular ways.

The results have exceeded my expectations, I'm really pleased with the car. The ride is similar to stock but it's taken the jitteryness away over small ripples in the road. I was slightly apprehensive that the stock dampers might be exposed but I needn't have worried, the car rides exactly as I'd expect & want from a roadgoing M-car. The real revelation is the steering, I could feel the difference as soon as I turned out of your premises. Gone is the sluggish, heavy response - it's now quick, effortless & accurate, almost as if the power steering had been switched off beforehand. The car feels like it's 200kg lighter but at the same time, more solid & composed. For me, it's a perfectly-judged road setup - thanks again

Recently bought a 2025 M3 LCI which seemed ok out of the box. In the wet there was quite bad understeer and slightly unpredictable transition into oversteer. The CS+ handling package transformed the car. The grip is ridiculous, feel is improved, can really lean on the car. Driving in the wet traction is like it’s dry, extremely stable. Car is predictable, any transition to understeer or oversteer is communicated and feels like slow motion with plenty of time to correct. Feel like all the handling of a CS car with all the comfort or a regular M car. Absolutely love the car now.
