Transform the front axle grip and steering feel of your Porsche 718 GT4 RS on road and track with the Suspension Secrets Camber / Caster Top Mounts for the Porsche 718 GT4 RS.
The 718 GT4 RS features adjustable front camber angles but the range of adjustment is limited due to the central (concentric) mounting point of the OEM top mount to the chassis. Maximum achievable camber is approximately -2.4 degrees (depending on ride height) which is insufficient for fast road and track driving, especially if you are using a very grippy tyre.
This camber angle can be increased in a variety of ways, including by fitting camber shims in the front control arms. The issue with fitting shims is that the front wheels are pulled forwards in the front wheel arches as the shims are fitted. This causes the leading edge of the tyre to collide with the front wheel arch liners when steering lock is applied.
We've designed and manufactured our Suspension Secrets Camber / Caster Top Mounts for the Porsche 718 GT4 RS. Our top mounts give a wider range of camber adjustment thanks to their offset position. This allows you to achieve much higher levels of camber that are suitable for fast road and track driving.
Our top mounts also feature a fixed offset 2 degree positive caster increase versus the OEM top mounts. This increased caster improves steering feel and weight; gives you improved high-speed stability and increases cornering grip due to the increased dynamic camber gain.
The key benefits of the Suspension Secrets Camber/Caster Top Mounts for the Porsche 718 GT4 RS are:
Camber
Camber angle is the angle between the plane of a wheel and the vertical. It is described as positive when the top of the wheel leans outward and negative when the top of the wheel leans inward. Camber angle alters the handling characteristics of a suspension system.
Caster
Caster is the measure of how far forward or behind the steering axis is to the vertical axis, viewed from the side. This is measured by drawing a line between the top and bottom pivot points of the front upright. The angle between the drawn line and vertical is the caster angle
