When lowering your BMW G81 M3 Touring many aspects of geometry are altered that need correcting. One very often overlooking but important aspect is roll centre. The roll centre position of a vehicle determines how stiff the car feels through the corners and can cause the car to become unpredictable out on track if it is altered too much when lowering the car for track use.

Our eccentric rear control arm bush is designed to replace the OEM solid bush in the rear hub where the rear lower control arm (coffin arm) attaches to the upright. The offset bush can then be installed in the correct orientation to correct the rear roll centre, improving handling and stability significantly.

With the eccentric bush installed and the rear roll centre corrected your BMW G81 M3 Touring will have more stability through the corners and the front to rear balance of the chassis will be restored allowing for more driver confidence and lower lap times.

Benefit from:

  • Improved Corner Exit Traction
  • Restored Chassis Balance After Lowering
  • Corrected Rear Roll Centre
  • More Stability at Apex
  • Increased Driver Confidence
  • More Rear Axle Grip

Geometry Explained

Geometry
Suspension geometry is the positioning and angular movement of the suspension arms and the effect that they have upon the movement of the wheel and tyre. It is caused by the different components of the suspension system all moving in their designed paths, which together generate changes in direction and multiple forces on the wheel and tyre, making the steering and suspension operate in particular ways.

Product Development

All Suspension Secrets upgrades are designed, developed and manufactured in-house. This process includes prototyping new products using CAD and 3D printing technology, and extensive rear-world testing with professional racing drivers. Sophisticated motorsport data capturing equipment allows us to measure the handling performance gains achieved by our parts.
