Suspension Secrets MCS 3 Way Coilovers - BMW G81 M3 Touring

Suspension Secrets has teamed up with MCS Suspension to provide a full comprehensive coilover solution for the BMW G81 M3 Touring. We have selected the MCS 3 way dampers with remote reservoirs to offer the perfect balance of road and track use. These dampers are paired with Suspension Secrets Camber Caster Plates, designed specifically to work with the MCS coilover kit. We have also developed and tested the ideal spring rates to maximise the performance of the chassis. This coilover solution is built in house by our team and is delivered as a complete coilover unit ready to install directly to the car with no further parts required. 

The 3 way adjustable dampers offer independent rebound, low speed compression and high speed compression adjustment. This allows for th perfect balance to be achieved, optimising the low speed rebound and compression damping to control the chassis and spring though the corners and under braking and acceleration. The high speed compassion can then be used separately to tune how the car rides kerbs and absorbs impacts such as potholes in the road as they can be bled off like a soft car. This tuneabiltiy offers a balance that is perfect for optimising lap times and providing a level of comfort on the roads keeping the car perfectly useable on both applications. 

The secret feature of the MCS 3 way dampers that really steps this coilover kit ahead of the field is the adjustable nitrogen gas pressure in the external reservoirs. This can be fine tuned between 6 bar (87 psi) and 18 Bar (260 psi) of pressure to alter the effective spring rate of the coilover assembly. This offers a level of tuning unlike most coilover options. Altering the gas pressure from 6 Bar to 18 Bar of pressure is equivalent to increasing the spring rate by 50 N/mm offering multiple configurations that can be altered at different circuits or softened off for road use and then firmed back up at track. 

We have paired these dampers with our own camber plate solution that provides optimum damper stroke and efficiency at a lower ride height suited for track use which offer 5 stages of camber adjustment up to -4 degrees (dependant on ride height) and an offset caster increase derived from our development work with the BMW GT4 race cars. 

Finally, we have tested and developed the optimum Eibach racing spring rates for the BMW G81 M3 Touring on track which are supplied with the coilover kit at the optimum spring lengths. 

All coilovers are completed by hand in house at Suspension Secrets and packaged as a complete coilover solution, removing hassle from the process of building up your own package around an MCS damper.
