Fix your warping brake discs and fading brake pedal out on circuit on your BMW F87 M2 / Competition with the AH fabrications brake cooling duct backing plates. Designed to work with OEM brakes and aftermarket braking packages these backing plates replace the thin OEM stone guards to offer brake cooling for your car. 

Designed to be different, these brake cooling backing plates have an air chamber designed into them to guide airflow into the bell of the disc. This is critical for proper air flow to cool the disc evenly and thoroughly. Other designs simply guide the air to the back face of the disc, which only cools one face and can lead to discs cracking and warping. 

Currently fitted to our own development BMW F80 M3 these brake cooling backing plates made a substantial difference to the brake pedal fade out on circuit, providing clean air flow to the discs to prevent them from over heating. Keeping them cool prevents warping and brake fade providing more consistent braking behaviour out on circuit. 

If your car already has air ducting fitted, then simply fit these backing plates to duct the air more efficiently into your disc bell for more effective cooling. 

This kit is designed to work with:

  • OEM Blue Caliper Kit and Discs 
  • OEM M Performance Brake Kit (Silver Caliper Kit) 
  • BTCC Discs with AP calipers
  • 390mm AP racing discs 
Geometry Explained

Geometry
Suspension geometry is the positioning and angular movement of the suspension arms and the effect that they have upon the movement of the wheel and tyre. It is caused by the different components of the suspension system all moving in their designed paths, which together generate changes in direction and multiple forces on the wheel and tyre, making the steering and suspension operate in particular ways.

Sophisticated motorsport data capturing equipment allows us to measure the handling performance gains achieved by our parts.

I was slightly apprehensive that the stock dampers might be exposed but I needn't have worried, the car rides exactly as I'd expect & want from a roadgoing M-car. The real revelation is the steering, I could feel the difference as soon as I turned out of your premises. Gone is the sluggish, heavy response - it's now quick, effortless & accurate, almost as if the power steering had been switched off beforehand. The car feels like it's 200kg lighter but at the same time, more solid & composed. For me, it's a perfectly-judged road setup - thanks again

Recently bought a 2025 M3 LCI which seemed ok out of the box. In the wet there was quite bad understeer and slightly unpredictable transition into oversteer. The CS+ handling package transformed the car. The grip is ridiculous, feel is improved, can really lean on the car. Driving in the wet traction is like it’s dry, extremely stable. Car is predictable, any transition to understeer or oversteer is communicated and feels like slow motion with plenty of time to correct. Feel like all the handling of a CS car with all the comfort or a regular M car. Absolutely love the car now.
