KW DDC Coilovers are electronically adjustable and are compatible with the original top mounts, making them ideal for daily driving, fast road and track use.

PLEASE NOTE - vehicles fitted with BMW Electronic Damper Control (EDC) will require a delete kit to prevent error codes from occurring.

KW DDC ECU explained

The KW DDC ECU system allows you to select from three vehicle-specific damper presets. These settings are 'comfort', 'sport' and 'sport+'. With an external controller button, you are able to switch between the pre-sets to suit the conditions of the road.

The comfort preset is ideal for city driving, commuting or driving on rough tarmac. The comfort preset utilises the full range of damper movement to maximise road comfort and compliance. When this setting is selected, the damper is electronically active and it automatically adjusts its damping in response to road conditions and bumps.

The sport preset is ideal for spirited fast road driving as it provides additional body control and grip.

The sport+ preset is for track driving, and it maximises the stiffness and body control offered by the dampers.

The KW DDC app can be installed on your smartphone to give you complete control over the behaviour of your DDC suspension. The app allows you to see the forces being exerted through the dampers in real time, which can help in refining your setup.

With the KW DDC app up to five individual damper settings can be configured and saved. This allows you to customise and fine tune the operation of your dampers to suit your driving style and how you use your BMW.

Geometry
Suspension geometry is the positioning and angular movement of the suspension arms and the effect that they have upon the movement of the wheel and tyre. It is caused by the different components of the suspension system all moving in their designed paths, which together generate changes in direction and multiple forces on the wheel and tyre, making the steering and suspension operate in particular ways.

I was slightly apprehensive that the stock dampers might be exposed but I needn't have worried, the car rides exactly as I'd expect & want from a roadgoing M-car. The real revelation is the steering, I could feel the difference as soon as I turned out of your premises. Gone is the sluggish, heavy response - it's now quick, effortless & accurate, almost as if the power steering had been switched off beforehand. The car feels like it's 200kg lighter but at the same time, more solid & composed. For me, it's a perfectly-judged road setup - thanks again

Recently bought a 2025 M3 LCI which seemed ok out of the box. In the wet there was quite bad understeer and slightly unpredictable transition into oversteer. The CS+ handling package transformed the car. The grip is ridiculous, feel is improved, can really lean on the car. Driving in the wet traction is like it’s dry, extremely stable. Car is predictable, any transition to understeer or oversteer is communicated and feels like slow motion with plenty of time to correct. Feel like all the handling of a CS car with all the comfort or a regular M car. Absolutely love the car now.
