The OEM front control arm bushes for the BMW F22 M235i/M240i are made from soft rubber which is filled with oil. This construction causes these bushes to flex excessively when driving fast which leads to vague, inaccurate steering and instability when braking hard.

Fitting solid bushes solves both of these issues, leaving you with a front-end that is responsive and confidence-inspiring even at the limit.

Our Suspension Secrets Solid Front Control Arm Bushes for the BMW F22 M235i/M240i feature machined billet aluminium casings fitted with a BMW OEM solid bush for maximum performance and reliability.

It is caused by the different components of the suspension system all moving in their designed paths, which together generate changes in direction and multiple forces on the wheel and tyre, making the steering and suspension operate in particular ways.

I was slightly apprehensive that the stock dampers might be exposed but I needn't have worried, the car rides exactly as I'd expect & want from a roadgoing M-car. The real revelation is the steering, I could feel the difference as soon as I turned out of your premises. Gone is the sluggish, heavy response - it's now quick, effortless & accurate, almost as if the power steering had been switched off beforehand. The car feels like it's 200kg lighter but at the same time, more solid & composed. For me, it's a perfectly-judged road setup - thanks again

Recently bought a 2025 M3 LCI which seemed ok out of the box. In the wet there was quite bad understeer and slightly unpredictable transition into oversteer. The CS+ handling package transformed the car. The grip is ridiculous, feel is improved, can really lean on the car. Driving in the wet traction is like it’s dry, extremely stable. Car is predictable, any transition to understeer or oversteer is communicated and feels like slow motion with plenty of time to correct. Feel like all the handling of a CS car with all the comfort or a regular M car. Absolutely love the car now.
