As standard, the camber on the second generation Audi R8 is not adjustable. This, combined with Audi's conservative chassis setup, means the R8 is not as good as it can be. Installing our camber shims fixes these issues, and allows you to experience:
Our stainless steel camber shims are inserted between the lower suspension wishbone and the chassis where they push the wishbone outwards, which increases the negative camber.
Our camber shims increase negative camber by a fix amount and they do not change your alignment after they have been installed. This makes them ideal for road and track use.
Our Audi R8 Camber Shims Kit includes 8 shims in total
Camber changes vary dependent on intended application (road = thinnest shims, smallest camber improvement; track = medium shim thickness, medium camber gain ideal for fast road/trackday applications; race = thickest shims, high levels of camber for track-only applications).
Camber
Camber angle is the angle between the plane of a wheel and the vertical. It is described as positive when the top of the wheel leans outward and negative when the top of the wheel leans inward. Camber angle alters the handling characteristics of a suspension system.
