When cornering hard, the original rubber control arm bushes / bushings of the Chevrolet C8 Corvette in the rear lower control arms flex. This flexing causes the rear camber and toe angles to change dynamically, resulting in inconsistent levels of cornering grip and instability. Due to the size of the bushings in the lower control arms on the Corvette C8, the flex is quite large out on track, especially with more track focused tyres fitted. Therefore, the faster you go, and the more grip you add, the larger the deflection becomes.

To solve this, we've designed our Suspension Secrets Rear Lower Control Arm Monoball Bushing Kit for the Corvette C8 Z06/Z07/ZR1. Our bushings are machined billet aluminium with solid motorsport-grade Rodoball spherical bearings that replace the OEM rubber bushings. Our solid bushings ensure cornering forces are transferred immediately from the tyres into the chassis. This increased responsiveness between tyres and chassis results in better feedback and response. Simply put: driver input immediately matched by chassis output.

Our solid bushings also ensure rear camber and rear toe remains constant during a corner, resulting in greatly improved cornering stability and traction.

This kit includes: Rear Lower Monoball Bushings. 4 Bushings in total.

The key features of the Suspension Secrets Rear Control Arm Monoball Bushing Kit for the C8 Corvette are:

  • Increased rear axle stability on road and track
  • Improved sense of connection to the ground
  • Increased cornering grip and traction
  • Improved responsiveness and cornering agility
  • Motorsport-grade Rodobal bearings with Lifetime Warranty
Geometry Explained

Geometry
Suspension geometry is the positioning and angular movement of the suspension arms and the effect that they have upon the movement of the wheel and tyre. It is caused by the different components of the suspension system all moving in their designed paths, which together generate changes in direction and multiple forces on the wheel and tyre, making the steering and suspension operate in particular ways.

Product Development

All Suspension Secrets upgrades are designed, developed and manufactured in-house. This process includes prototyping new products using CAD and 3D printing technology, and extensive rear-world testing with professional racing drivers. Sophisticated motorsport data capturing equipment allows us to measure the handling performance gains achieved by our parts.
